Plastic Bank® pays people in developing countries to hand in plastic waste. This plastic is collected from beaches and shallow parts of the oceans, from rivers, riverbanks and landfills. All this prevents this plastic waste from actually ending up in the oceans. The collected plastic is sorted, cleaned and processed into granules.
